The BERNINA 530 offers "Total Stitch Control," allowing you to permanently or temporarily alter stitch length, width, and one of 11 needle positions, even while sewing. Settings can be saved to the machine's memory for future use .

BSR (BERNINA Stitch Regulator) Ready
This machine is ready for the optional BERNINA Stitch Regulator (BSR) foot. This accessory uses an optical sensor to detect fabric movement and automatically adjusts the machine to ensure perfectly even stitch lengths during free-motion quilting, regardless of your sewing speed .

Automatic One-Step Buttonhole
Sewing buttonholes is simplified with the automatic one-step system. You can set the desired buttonhole length, and the machine will sew identical, precise buttonholes repeatedly, using the built-in Length Measuring System (LMS) .

BERNINA Free Hand System (FHS)
The knee-operated lever allows you to raise the presser foot, lower the feed dogs, and release thread tension without using your hands. This keeps your hands free to guide the fabric, which is especially useful for quilting and maneuvering thick layers .
